2026-2027 Assistant Director
Bethel Highlands Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to join our team. This leadership position supports the daily operations of our preschool, assists with staff supervision, ensures compliance with licensing requirements, and helps foster a positive and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
Meet Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) qualifications for both a Child Care Teacher and Administrator in a licensed group child care center.
Demonstrate knowledge of Wisconsin DCF licensing regulations and early childhood education best practices.
Possess strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Have a passion for supporting young children, families, and early childhood educators.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood classroom and a minimum of two years of experience supervising or leading staff in an early childhood setting. They will be knowledgeable about Wisconsin child care licensing requirements, enjoy mentoring and supporting teachers, and be committed to creating a positive, collaborative culture for staff and families.

2026-2027 Before and/or After Care Assistant Teacher
We are looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Before and After Care program. This position helps create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children outside of regular preschool hours. Responsibilities include supervising play, assisting with activities, supporting daily routines, and working collaboratively with the lead teacher and staff.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, is flexible and reliable, and brings positive energy to the start and end of each school day.
